The Prize

The “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” started in 2000, through the results of the joint efforts of the Venetian gallerist Roberto Zamberlan and the Gambino Family (“Amici di Gambino” foundation).
The mission of the “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” is to explore the contemporary painting panorama, promoting the development and visibility of young artists, in the memory of the work of Giuseppe.
The 2014 edition has seen the “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” changing its organization, with “C.A.T.” cultural association becoming its main promoter, and re-defining the “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” as one of the most promising art prizes in Italy.
This 2015 edition has seen the beginning of the collaboration with the communication and IT firm “IT Experience”, whose contribution opens the participation to artists from all over the world, eventually making the Prize a real international competition.
One of the main goals of the “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” is to give the right visibility to the participants, giving them the possibility to expose their works in Venice, to create links with galleries and art traders, to sustain young talents.

The “International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino” is officially supported by: Veneto region, Municipality of Venice, Municipality of Preganziol, Municipality of Vizzini, Academy of Fine Arts of Venice.
