Archiving and Examination of the Gambino’s Works

In order to archive a Gambino’s work and/or to know if the work in your possession is authentic and therefore demand its examination by the Amici di Gambino Foundation Commission, you must:

– For every work, send n° 3 B/W professional photographs of 18×24 cm sized. A photograph of the back of the painting in case it has stamps, writings, etc.

– send a colour reproduction of the front in digital format, 20 cm base, 300 dpi of resolution

– for every work, send a brief technical file that indicates the title, the technique, the support, the size and the origin of the work.

– indicate how the owner wants to appear in case of publication of the work: whit its extended name (in that case please specify it) or with the lettering: “Private Collection”

– send a disclaimer of the photographer and/or of the photo studio that made the photographs of the works sent to Amici di Gambino Foundation, containing the authorisation for use and publication of the above-mentioned on the Giuseppe Gambino’s Artwork Archive and on other eventual publications dedicated to the artist. The disclaimer must also include the lettering of the photographer’s name and/or that of the photo studio.

Once provided the above information and materials, the Archive will proceed for a first examination of the work based on comparisons and tests with documents stored in the Archive.

If considered necessary by the Archive, the owner (or a person authorised by him) will be invited to present the work for a direct5 examination by the Archive consultants.
